<description>Freeman&#039;s piece made my day. Finally someone in the general media who has enough insight and granularity to understand venture. My question is why have we in the VC community not been able to explain to the world what we do? It appears our voice is reduced to the fight of tax and regulation issues exclusively rather then to broaden the discussion to the role venture capital plays in our economy. If the world does not understand that venture capital is the motor of innovation why should it be sympathetic to the thought to nurture and to sustain it through tax incentives.
