Best Practices for VC Board Meetings

Due to steady requests for copies of the presentation that our panel gave at the 2nd Pillsbury Winthrop BackStage Pass Board Series, I am re-posting this so that it is easy for interested people to find.

To add to Brad Feld’s post about how to structure effective board meeting agendas, I’ve made available the slide deck from a two hour seminar that I recently moderated on Best Practices for Running a Board Meeting.  This session is the second of a series of three that I am moderating in 2006.  All are hosted by the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop as part of their Backstage Pass Board Series.

The panel consisted of Matt Howard of Norwest Venture Partners, Joy Weiss, CEO of Dust Networks, Harry Taxin, former Chairman and CEO of Megapath Networks, Bob Walters, former CEO of Teros, and Allison Leopold Tilley of Pillsbury (an experienced general counsel for venture backed companies).

We had over 100 hundred attendees, most of them CEOs, and it was a productive meeting.  I hope that people find it useful.
